IDAS is the largest specialist charity in Yorkshire supporting people subjected by domestic abuse and sexual violence. Their services include a free, confidential helpline that is available seven days a week, and support in their local communities that includes safety planning, crisis management, emotional support, group programmes and advocacy through the criminal justice and family courts systems. They also provide accommodation through their refuges and dispersed property, with intensive support, to anyone who needs to escape abuse.

During 2024 IDAS answered 32,500 helpline calls and responded to 27,000 referrals. They supported 11,865 women, men and children in their local communities, and housed 286 families in their emergency refuge accommodation.
